1 What is thetheme of the film?
Friendship, difference, the di culty of meeting and getting to know others, the difference in nature of beings. Is it possible for beings of different natures to live together?
2 What is thegenre of the film?
It isa fiction similar to a tale.Imaginary, marvellous and symbolic.
In literature, the tale is distinguished from the novel by the acceptance of the implausibility of the marvellous genre.
Once upon a time... then everything becomes natural, obvious.

3 What is the role of the seasons in the film?
The seasons, used in a metaphorical, allegorical way, make it possible to express the difference in nature of the two characters.Spring and summer for the little girl and autumn and winter for the little boy.
Allegory and metaphor represent an abstract notion, such as a character, a quality, a defect, in a concrete way and the use of the seasons, in particular through the incompatibility between spring, which can make one think of life, and winter, which can make one think of death, makes it possible to stage the difference in the nature of the two characters and the difficulty they have in understanding each other, getting to know each other and living together.
The use of the seasons also makes it possible to accompany the characters' psychology. When the little boy takes the initiative and the little girl hesitates or runs away from the situation, winter takes over. When the little girl voluntarily decides to join the boy, spring reappears.
The metaphor of the seasons thus allows us to understand the psychology of the characters only through the landscape.
4 Describe the feelings of the characters in each scene?
Use words that you think best describe the psychology of the characters.

Surprise, worry, fear, curiosity, distrust, pride, sadness, joy, nervousness, despair, impatience... Being puzzled, bewildered, disoriented, discouraged, despairing, reassured

5 How would you interpret the end of the film?
The end of the film is open to interpretation.
The two characters circle around a tree in a seemingly endless circle.
The difference in nature between the girl and the boy has not changed; the tree is separated into seasons that change with the rhythm of this circle; the boy and the girl, each on their own side of the tree, are never together on the same side.
Or have they found a balance?
Is this living together?
Keeping one's own particularities and respecting those of others.
