Commentary on the film: Come on
A beautiful short film to inspire children from kindergarten onwards to draw.Using simple geometric shapes, suggest that children invent the adventure of three new heroes in the image of these three adorable characters.
Animation technique
Animation on disc is an exciting technique to help children discover the magic of cinema. Two techniques are possible to create the illusion of movement. Create a match between the camera settings (number of images per second and shutter speed) and the speed of rotation of the disc, or create visual interruptions using the flashes of a stroboscope.
For teachers and parents who wish to experiment with this animation technique with children, discover the achievements of children in phonotrope and the very instructive video of a Nikodio event making a live film on disc: Le phonotrope en concert.
The ancestor of animation on disc is the zoetrope (1834), an animation technique that was the origin of the invention of cinema, the principle of which was to draw a sequence of drawings representing a cyclical movement inside a cylinder pierced with slits. Looking at the rotating cylinder from the outside, the slits allow the drawings to be seen and the solid parts of the cylinder act as a shutter, erasing the persistence of vision and creating the visual illusion of movement.

Understand the story, the theme, express your sensibility and exercise your critical mind.A particularly interesting technique: the phonotrope. The optical illusion is the result of the adequacy between the shutter speed of the camera and the rotation speed of the record.
