Between abstraction and figuration, the forms evolve to the rhythm of the music. The relationship between images and sounds, the regular back and forth between figurative and abstract forms, the importance of rhythm, may bring to mind other abstract film directors such as Jeff Scher or Theodore Ushev.About the director
Steven Subotnick's films are varied and range from cartoon-like to purely abstract. He places particular importance on editing and the relationship between images and sounds in order to offer the viewer an original aesthetic experience. 1 What isan inflorescence?

An inflorescence is the structure of a flowering plant, the arrangement of the flowers on the stem.
2 What is a capitulum?
(from Latin capitulum: small head, diminutive of caput, the head)
A capitulum is a type of inflorescence.It consists of flowers without stalks.
3 Do you know examples of capitula?
The daisy and the sunflower are examples of capitula.
So is the artichoke.It is an edible flower head; it is picked young, before the flower head has fully bloomed and opened.
4 What is the peduncle?
The peduncle is the stem that bears the flowers and then, after fertilisation, the fruit.
The tail of a cherry, for example.
5 What about a flower?
A flower is the reproductive organ of a plant.
After pollination, the fertilised flower develops into a fruit containing the seeds. Flowers can be solitary, but they are most often grouped together in inflorescences.
6 Describe the visual and sound elements of the film.
For example, the shape at the beginning of the film is reminiscent of the pappus (or egret) of a dandelion.
