Gianluigi Toccafondo transforms existing images (photos from magazines or films), distorts them with photocopies, reworks them with acrylics and then refilms them.Author's note
"My father is a potter on the wheel and when I was a child I used to watch the transformations of the material as it changed with the movement of the potter. I was fascinated by this perpetual movement that never stops.This notion characterises my work. I work with photographs that I distort with a photocopier, then I paint over three-dimensional objects. I never do animation on the white table. There are photographs, a real world before.""
