Penrose

A tribute to the artist Escher

How do you explain impossible objects to children?

Synopsis

An endless journey.

Film commentary: Penrose

What if we inhabited impossible objects?
A very amusing tribute to Maurits Cornelis Escher, his tricks of perspective and impossible constructions, such as "Up and Down" (1960) in which the monks of the castle go up and down stairs in endless loops, or the waterfall in the painting "Perpetual Movement" (1961).

Impossible objects

The short film can be an opportunity to draw some optical illusions or impossible objects such as thePenrose staircase (1958), the Penrose triangle (1950), the Necker Cube (1832) or the blivet (1964).
