I Am Dyslexic

Short film on dyslexia

How to build confidence in a dyslexic child?

Synopsis

A child has to overcome his difficulties in learning to read and discovers that he is not alone.

Film commentary: I Am Dyslexic

A mountain of books!
A beautiful metaphor for dyslexia and the difficulties that dyslexic children have to overcome.

The makers of the short film, who are themselves dyslexic, created the film in the hope of giving self-confidence to every child who has learning difficulties. A film to show children that they are not alone, an invitation to develop their talents and to strengthen their self-esteem, which is often undermined at school.

Dyslexia, a specific reading disorder linked to a particular difficulty in identifying letters or words, affects between 8 and 12% of pupils.
